Indore as Smart City

Ministry of Urban Development (MoUD) has shortlisted Indore city as one of the 98 smart cities under the competitive process of ‘Smart City Challenge’. The most awaited 100 Smart City Mission was launched by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 21 June 2015.
The first phase of the Smart City Challeneg has been completed. As the project enhances to second phase, the municipal corporation of Indore is compiling the smart city project that will enable it to achieve its rank in top 20 smart cities. The citizen of Indore can also provide its suggestion to the municipal corporation for various development work pertaining to Electricity and Water supply, Sanitation & Waste Management, Street Lighting, Transportation, Roads/streets/Pedestrian lane, Health, Education, eGovernance, Tech-savvy (Communication, Internet Connectivity), Clean & Green Environment, Old men, Women & Child Security.

Indore city formulates its own unique vision, mission and plan for a “smart city”- the Smart City Proposal.
